Description In 1909, Spain acquired two Schneider‑Brillié armored vehicles for use in the Melilla War, built on modified P2‑4000 bus chassis and later armed with twin 7 mm Vickers machine guns. Featuring 5–6 mm steel armor, a 40 hp engine, and a compartmentalized interior, they represented an early experiment in armored mobility. Although delivered too late for the conflict that prompted their purchase, both vehicles were deployed in Morocco during the 1912 Kert Campaign, where they performed escort, reconnaissance, medical evacuation, and offensive roles—marking one of the earliest operational uses of armored cars in modern warfare. By 1915, one unit was briefly converted to a cargo truck before re‑armoring, while the other served defensively in Tetuán before likely being scrapped in Madrid.
