A Gouache Poster by International Golf Artist Kenneth Reed featuring Henry Cotton playing the 8th hole in the 2nd round of the 1934 open at Royal St George’s. He won the Championship and this record round of 65 gave name to a famous golf ball. This is one of the artist proofs, signed and numbered by the artist. It’s one of my father’s best tournament posters, capturing a bygone era. Spectators stand over the bunker, finely dressed in stylish clothes, the grey, green and beige colours in harmony with the overall composition. A classic piece of Art Deco Art.
