Description This model kit depicts the Hughes 500D Serial c/n 300681D YV-304CP “La Guacamaya” (1990 livery) On March 3, 1983, with this helicopter the highest rescue in the world for a 500D was carried out in Merida (Venezuela) at an altitude of 14,200 feet. In 1990 it participated in the television adventure sports series ‘Neblina’ in the Amazonas. It was modified to extend its operational range then in December 1992 it made the route of the third Columbus voyage in opposite direction from Venezuela to Spain to commemorate the 500 years of the discovery of America.
