Description The locomotive is a second variant of the shunting tank locomotives used by the Bulgarian State Railways (BDŽ), known as the Series 47. It features the classic appearance of typical German shunting locomotives mass-produced between 1898 and 1921, also known as the DR Series 89.6-8. In Bulgaria, locomotive 47.05 was delivered by the J.A. Maffei-Munich plant (factory number 2133) in 1900. On September 15, 1998, the locomotive was placed on display at Sofia Central Station to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the establishment of the BDŽ administration in 1888.
