Description 1:148 scale model of a Class 158 diesel multiple unit. The British Rail Class 158, also known as the ‘Express Sprinter’, was designed in the late 1980s and 180 were built between 1989-1992. They were introduced to provide fast and modern trains on regional routes over longer distances and are a reliable and comfortable type that are still in regular service today. This kit builds in a N-scale model of 2-car unit (with option to extend to 3-car) 158887 or 158888 in the grey and blue colours of South Western Railway in the contemporary era, operating in southern Hampshire.
